Welcome to the Knowledge-Based Economy

In this new economy, the skills that matter most are complex, analytical thinking, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, uncertain context. In the knowledge-based economy, ideas are the valued currency.

Unfortunately, in most organizations, a large proportion of employees do not feel comfortable speaking up and sharing their unique ideas. Failure to hear from everyone leads to problems that put even the most successful businesses at a competitive disadvantage.

The hard truth is that traditional diversity programs aren’t working. Why? Well, it’s simple, we are investing money in vanity metrics vs. investing in building organizations that care about people. In 2020, we created a maturity model with the explicit goal of helping organizations quantify where they stand and where they could improve.  Our model presents four levels of maturity, and the goal is to help you learn how to build this muscle.

Why this matters?

It’s simple, better ideas lead to better outcomes. Our own research shows that when customers feel safe sharing, innovation pipelines improve, retention and performance improve, revenue also increases.

Over the coming weeks, we will build a report based on this and we’ll want your help as we tell a story about what is happening in the workplace.
